To celebrate and enjoy this special day, we have chosen a unique and dear location: the village of Orasso. This is where part of Cri’s origins and family history lie. Since childhood, it has always been her second home, and over the years, it has often been our refuge. We are happy to share its charm with you. Now, let’s get to the details… below you will find all the useful information to keep track of.

Please confirm your attendance by May 23, 2025.

Where

The ceremony will take place at the Church of San Materno in the small village of Orasso, in the province of Verbanio-Cusio-Ossola (here’s how to get there). The village consists of narrow pedestrian streets. Once you reach the entrance square, you will need to walk, following the signs to the church (a 5-minute walk from the square).

How

Dress code note:

Dress as you like and try not to outshine the groom ;) However, since it is a small mountain village at 800 meters above sea level, with stairs, meadows, and cobblestones, it is advisable to wear or bring comfortable shoes! You can decide when to wear them.

How to reach us


The Church of San Materno

From Milan, it’s about a two-hour drive. Orasso is located in the beautiful Val Cannobina (exactly here, in case you want to use a navigator). The Church of San Materno is a 300-meter walk from the last point accessible by car, the Orasso square.

Parking

You can park your car along the main road leading to the village square or near the Campo Sportivo. Efficiency is key, as there will be more cars than usual that day in the village. So, follow the parking attendants’ instructions (see Wanted)!

Reception Venue: The Campo Sportivo

After the ceremony, we will move to the Campo Sportivo in Orasso for lunch and celebrations. It is a comfortable 500-meter walk away (even less if you take the donkey stairs; the field entrance is here.)

Tips for the Drunks


I must say, in my opinion, I drive better when I’m drunk… — The Maestro

Below are some instructions to avoid driving drunk late at night on the hairpin bends of Val Cannobina (or for those who want to arrive earlier or stay later, remaining in the area).

Being a small village, Orasso does not have many accommodation options. The main structure in the village is the Albergo Belvedere.

Near Orasso, there are other possibilities:

  • Just 10 minutes from Orasso is the village of Cursolo, where there is a hostel (Ostello del Sole) with several rooms available.
  • For those who want to visit the beautiful Val Vigezzo (towns like Malesco, Santa Maria Maggiore, Craveggia, Druogno), about 20-25 minutes from Orasso, you can find rooms or apartments through booking platforms.
  • For those who prefer to enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Maggiore, you can head towards Cannobio and its surroundings, about 25 minutes from Orasso, and look for accommodation through booking platforms.
  • In nearby villages like Gurro, Spoccia, and Falmenta (10-20 minutes away), you can find houses for rent.
